Hyundai spoofs Top Gear for ix35 ad (+video)

At its best, Top Gear is a winner among car shows, it’s good quality and fine entertainment.  Now, Hyundai has got into Top Gear with an advertising spoof that is being aired overseas for it’s new ix35 crossover vehicle. The ads, which show in South Africa, mimic the BBC program, but with three animals making up the “Top Deer” team. Clarkson, Hammond and May are replaced with a wildebeest, hamster and a turtle. The Stig is naturally replaced with a deer called “The Stag.”

The ads can be viewed below, the first spot features a one-on-one track battle between the ix35 and the Stag, and the second ad features the Clarkson wildebeest driving the new ix35.

They are worth a look so check them out below.
