BMW M3 GTS launched in Europe

BMW will probably never build another E30 M3, having now moved on to bigger, safer, and more powerful machines, but BMW fans now have the M3 GTS, which has now officially launched in Europe. Along with the market launch comes some new performance details, including word of a rapid 4.4-second 0-100 kph time.

That’s not as quick as a Nissan GT-R or Corvette ZR1, but the 450-horsepower, 4.4-litre V-8 engine under the hood and the use of light-weight materials brings the M3 close to those boosted machines. Rac-spec extras include a factory-installed half-cage, adjustable suspension, racing seats, minimal comforts and a special aerodynamic package. The M3 GTS is street-legal but is intended purely for track days and privateer racing.

Check out the video below to see the 2010 M3 GTS, testing on the  Nurburgring track.
