The Veritas RS III is both an open-cockpit supercar and a modern-day revival of a 40’s-era BMW racing car. It’s been created by a crew of enthusiasts dedicated to making the most raw, back-to-basics driving machine possible. With a choice of two BMW M-sourced powertrains — 480hp V8 or 600hp V10 — the Veritas can reach 100kph from a standstill in the three-second range en route to a top speed over 320 kph with either engine and no electronic aids. With a list price starting around $375,000 USD, only 50 cars will be produced, and the first one is ready to roll. The Veritas RS is set to be unveiled in London this July.
Alongside several UK debuts, the Veritas RS III will be headlining this year’s London Salon Prive, a high-end supercar show at the Hurlingham country club. Other exclusive metal on the billing include the Morgan Aero Super Sport (read news item) and Aston Martin One-77( read news item), two British supercars making their UK debuts. Aston will also bring out its V12 Vantage and DBS Volante for the home crowd, while the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S and Maybach Zeppelin will be on hand for the first time in the UK as well. The show commences from July 22-24, with tickets starting at a ridiculous £125 for a one-day entrance pass.
