NQN: Ultimate Racetrack launch for BMW M4

Ultimate-Race-Track_2BMW has taken edge-of-the-seat driving to the next level with the launch video for the all-new BMW M4.

Utilising the deck of an aircraft carrier, the new M4 performs a series of manoeuvres literally only millimetres from careering off the edge of the ship.

“BMW Canada, in conjunction with a number of BMW markets around the world, commissioned production of the clip,” says BMW New Zealand managing director Nina Englert.

“This is the type of expressive clip which captures the essence of BMW M and what our new M3 and M4 are all about – power, performance, agility and control.”

BMW Canada has a reputation for developing clips which capture worldwide attention. Three years ago at the launch of the BMW 1M Coupe, a video entitled ‘Walls’ generated 4.8 million views on YouTube.

“That was a great clip, especially showing off the dynamic and tyre smoking properties of the 1M, but in my opinion this new one is even better,” says Englert.

“And if numbers are anything to go by, then our fans agree as the new Ultimate Racetrack clip has been viewed more than four million times – in just over two weeks.

“Regardless of whether people choose to believe the footage or not, one thing is for certain – the performance of the all-new M4 truly takes your breath away.”

The clip will be used to complement the local BMW campaign for the launch of the new model in New Zealand, which will also include television, online, social as well as outdoor and direct mail.
