New Zealand recall for Polaris Ranger

New Zealand recall for Polaris Ranger

Consumer Affairs has issued a product safety recall for the Polaris Ranger 500 and the Ranger 500 Crew side by side.

According to Consumer Affairs the defect concerns the throttle cable which may be routed too closely to the vehicles exhaust.

The plastic shield of the throttle cable may melt and cause the cable to jam, which could potentially result in an accident hazard.

Polaris dealers have been authorised to inspect and if required, replace the throttle cable under safety bulletin R-14-01. The work will be performed at no charge to the owner and should take less than an hour to complete says Consumer Affairs.

They suggest that owners of the Polaris Ranger 500 and Ranger 500 Crew should cotant their nearest Polaris dealer for an appointment.

Polaris Industries can be contacted on 0800 440 290 or
