Website Content Editor and Motoring Writer wanted

Car enthusiasts, this is your dream job. If you’re a dab hand with words, are very computer savvy and are passionate about all things automotive, we’re looking for a website content editor/motoring writer for our motoring titles

We love cars, and we hope you will, too because you’ll be helping look after our car-related websites: NZ Performance Car, NZ Classic Car, NZV8, Car and SUV, and RV Lifestyle. They’re the online equivalents of some of the market-leading magazines we publish, and extend through to the events we run and our TV show Jim Beam Performance Car TV.

This role requires an enthusiastic person with strong writing skills and fast computer skills. Working in a small team (and in conjunction with our huge team of magazine contributors and editors), you’ll be researching news, writing articles and car reviews, and uploading and scheduling content. You’ll be at the hub of all things new and exciting in the automotive world, and some things old and exciting (like a million dollar 300SL Merc!)

Working primarily with our web-based content management system you must be able to work unsupervised. It should go without saying that your written English must be top notch —people who can’t spell or who can’t write coherent sentences aren’t the right fit. Ideally you’ll already be a fountain of knowledge about automotive matters, from modified Japanese imports to electric vehicles, supercharged muscle cars to concours-winning classics.

So, to recap the important things you need for this job:
1) Total enthusiasm and passion for cars
2) Ability to write articles quickly
3) Highly web-savvy
4) Able to cope with varying workloads, and can meet deadlines

This is a junior to intermediate position and training will be provided.
