Toyota gives customers an Edge

Toyota has released a special edition of the 2014 Hilux with unique graphics, 17” alloy wheels and an array of accessories.

According to Toyota the special edition 4×2 Hilux Edge gives owners a sportier look, with Edge graphics set and badge, as well as a wheel and tyre package incorporating MAK Fuoco 17 inch silver alloy wheels and 225/55R17 Bridgestone Dueller HP tyres.

Other exterior features include LED daytime running lights, stainless steel nudge bar and stainless steel side pipes. The Hilux Edge’s double cab body also boasts colour-matched door handles, door mirrors and rear bumper with integrated step, along with tinted windows on the front doors and tinted privacy windows on rear doors and back screen.

Inside the cab, owners will discover unique Edge-branded carpet floor mats, front headrests and a leather-wrapped gear knob.

The Edge special edition adds more than $5000 worth of extras.

Toyota New Zealand general manager sales Steve Prangnell says the Hilux EDGE takes the practicality of a 4×2 ute and gives it a sportier, individual look, by adding Toyota-approved components and a unique graphics package.

“You won’t see it anywhere else, “ says Prganell. “It’s a unique model that looks great and underlines the Hilux’s perennial ability to deliver so much to so many.”

The Hilux Edge is available in four exterior colours – ink, glacier white, velocity red and charcoal grey and is priced from $39,990.
