Superbowl ads roll out again

As the 2015 Superbowl brings the US to a standstill, for advertisers, including vehicle manufaturers, it provides one of the single biggest audiences at one time for the year.

AutoTalk has dug out the car ads released so far this year, so you do not have to go hunting.

Our favourite – shown above, is not for a car, but for a motorsport. Parks and Recreation’s Ron Swanson, played by comedian Nick Offerman, suggests you get some Nascar in your life. There is a lot of ‘fricking’, a man and a US flag banana hammock, and the new truth: “When our idea of danger is eating gluten, trouble is afoot.”

BMW drags out some old footage of news hosts Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel marvelling at the internet years ago. Big ideas apparently take some time to get used to.

Pierce Brosnan tries to relive his bond days… in his head. Kia’s Sorento proves a little less exciting. But he at least gets to keep it.

Mercedes puts a new spin on the old tortoise vs hare deal to push the AMG GT.

Toyota mixes U.S. Paralympic snowboarder and model with some Mohummod Ali motivation – and the new Toyota Camry. We have no idea where the car fits into this either.

We only have a teaser so far for Nissan’s spot, but it has a racing 370Z, so should be good.

Lexus suggests you ‘Make some noise’ in its NX line-up.
