Sultan of Brunei to sell exotic car collection through NZ broker

The world isn’t short of wealthy supercar collectors, but there’s few that can rival the mysterious collection of the royal house of Brunei. The collection is often the subject of much rumour and speculation, with only occasional leaks giving away some truth to its contents. That may be set to change because apparently part of the collection is now up for sale and interestingly, it’s through a NZ broker.

Among the rare and exotic gems up for sale are three Lamborghinis, two lightweight Porsche 911 Turbos, a Jaguar XJ220, one of only eight Cizeta V16s ever produced, the ItalDesign BMW Nazca and no less than 25 Ferraris, including an Enzo, an F50, an F40 and a custom-built 512 TR Spider.

The collection is rumored to be located currently in Singapore, but the broker is based in New Zealand with a website set up to promote the sales. Although the website does not disclose the liquidating owner, not many people except the Sultan of Brunei and his controversial brother Prince Jefri could assemble such exotic metal. What’s more, many of the cars have never been driven with the odometer only reading their original factory mileage, and all are worth well into the six and seven figures, making this one of the most valuable car collections ever put up for public sale.
