Subaru drops price on XV, adds more spec

GetFileAttachmentPrices have been reduced for all three 2015 Subaru XV models, by between $1000 and $4000, but Subaru NZ says it has added more specification.

For the 2015 model year the Subaru XV has a new infotainment system, featuring touch screen technology, plus interior refinements such as a gloss black air-conditioning dial, accompanied by a chrome finish air-conditioning ventilation grille, a silver trim panel on the dash and door sill, an upgraded instrument panel with colour display, and a new premium stitched leather gear surround.

The XV 2.0i manual and auto models are now priced identically at $37,990 – down from the previous automatic RRP of $40,990 (the manual six speed was previously $38,990).

Standard equipment on the XV includes all-wheel-drive, 2-litre Boxer engine, 17-inch alloy wheels with full size spare, 220mm ground clearance, Subaru lineartronic transmission (SLT), with manual mode, ANCAP 5-star safety rating, rear view reversing camera, seven SRS airbags, 60/40 split fold seats and automatic stop-start technology.

In addition, there are bucket front sports seats, cruise control, central locking, power windows and climate control air-conditioning, as well as Bluetooth wireless technology and a six-speaker audio system with iPod2/USB compatibility.

The XV 2.0i-L auto is now $40,990 – down from $44,990. It adds sunroof and satellite navigation to the above specifications.

The XV 2.0i-S auto is now $44,990 – down from $48,990. It adds leather seat trim, heated seats for driver and passenger, plus an eight-way power driver’s seat to the above specifications.

Subaru says the XV’s roof rails are designed to allow Thule cross bars to be fitted to it. Owners can use the Thule bike rack, ski holder or water craft carrier, for their outdoor leisure.
