Star Wars reveal for updated Captiva

Holden leveraged its ongoing partnership with Star Wars to reveal the updated Captiva last night.

The car made its debut at a Star Wars: The Force Awakens fan and media event.

Taking place at the Sydney Opera House, Harrison Ford hosted an exclusive Q&A with fans and media whilst the new Captiva showcased hologram technology, developed by the creators of Star Wars’ newest droid, BB-8.

The new redesigned 2016 Holden Captiva on display sports a faceblifted exterior and interior as well as an infotainment system overhaul.

Holden’s MyLink gets an update to include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto software.

Holden is also adding Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert on higher-spec LTZ trim cars.

The update marks the end of the Captiva 5, the Captiva 7 will now be called Captiva and have five and seven seat options.
