Sponsor honours Senna’s anniversary

Senna1May 1, 2014 marks the 20th anniversary since the world lost Grand Prix driver, Brazilian Ayrton Senna da Silva.

Senna was one of the first motor racing ambassadors for the Monroe brand of shock absorbers, with Monroe Brazil supporting the new talent during his debut Formula One season with the Toleman team back in 1984.

According to Monroe, Senna started his meteoric career at the pinnacle of international motorsport, that continued across a decade and covered 161 races, 41 victories and 67 pole positions.

While some of Senna’s records have and will be surpassed, his positive influence for many millions of Brazilians, motor racing and general sports competitors worldwide is part of a legacy that remains stronger than ever, 20 years on.
