Ranger just holds lead against Hilux

There’s just 171 registrations keeping the Ford Ranger in front of the Toyota Hilux as the light commercial market heads into the final quarter of the year.

The Ford Ranger retained its position as the monthly top selling commercial model for September with 595 units sold (17% market share). The Toyota Hilux was the second best seller with 15% market share (526 units). This was followed by the Holden Colorado at 8% (280 units).

Year to date the Ford Ranger has retained the lead as the top selling commercial model with 16% market share (4435 units) followed by the Toyota Hilux, with 15% market share (4264 units).

topcommregThe sale of pick-ups/chassis-cabs accounts for 19% of the total market.

Toyota was the commercial vehicle market leader in September with 21% share (739 units) followed by Ford at 19% (672 units) and Holden third at 9% (305 units).
