Project Kahn creates Range Rover Sport ‘Miyagi Edition’

Project Kahn creates Range Rover Sport ‘Miyagi Edition’

It’s never appealed to all tastes but there’s no denying that the Range Rover Sport is the toughest looking SUV on the road. It’s also a strong candidate for tuning treatment to make it even more desirable. The latest tuning firm to get into the Range Rover is Project Kahn who has unleashed a new customized version called the Miyagi edition.

It’s not named after Mr Miyagi from Karate Kid fame (although he was an accomplished car restorer in his own right), but it was created with a view to helping the earthquake/tsunami victims in Japan. Project Kahn hopes to use the striking model as a means to raise awareness and have customers donate to the displaced people of Japan.

The current Range Rover Sport is apparently the last Land Rover product to use the company’s special Bali Blue hue. This has given Project Kahn the opportunity to build a very unique vehicle.

In addition to the special paint work,  the Miyagi edition sports a contrasting black matt paint finish for the roof, the central part of the bonnet and the exterior trim details such as the side air vents.

The body kit includes a reworked front bumper with fog lamp surrounds in steel trim, a rear bumper replacement with exhaust diffuser, side skirts, side vents with double mesh, and a menacing quad stainless steel exhaust system by Cosworth along with flashy 22-inch RS Cosworth wheels that round-off the exterior mods.

Get inside the Miyagi Edition and you’ll find quilted leather upholstery along with a new speedo, tacho and clock, plus contrasting silver stitching for the steering wheel and gear shift knob.

If you want one, your going to need a load of cash and some friendly contacts in the UK. Project Kahn is taking orders for the Range Rover Sport Miyagi Edition with prices starting from £69,000 (NZ$133,954)  for the diesel model and £89,000 (NZ$170,500) for the petrol version.
