Porsche rumoured to produce limited edition 911 GT3 RS

It appears just when you thought the Porsche 911 GT3 RS could not get any better, rumours crop up suggesting the German sports car manufacturer may have plans for a special edition.

This special edition Porsche 911 will be limited to just 500 units, each one holding back a solid 500 hp from a 4.0 litre engine. This means there is a 50 horsepower increase from the standard GTS RS.

The standard GT3 RS sports a 3.8 litre naturally aspirated flat six. It may be unbelievable power, but it may not be enough to keep up with the expected competition-ready version of the Ferrari 458 Italia for GT racing.

No other details on the car have been released just yet, though you wouldn’t expect much in the way of changes besides the additional displacement and power.
