Porsche RS Spyder – street version rumours

Porsche RS Spyder fq

A very recent automotive rumor is that Porsche is considering a successor for the Carrera GT in the form of a street legal version of the Porsche RS Spyder. The Porsche RS Spyder is currently winning races in the American LeMans Series and the road-legal version will apparently feature the same carbon fibre chassis and the same engine. Motivation comes from a 3.4 litre V8 unit that’s good for 478 hp and the total vehicle weight is just 775 kg.

The Porsche RS Spyder measures up at 2 meters wide and 4.6 meters long and will probably spawn a two-seater street version. The road-spec production version of the Porsche RS Spyder will have to weigh more than the current race car, which may mean Porsche could raise the power output to maintain a promising power-to-weight ratio.

Check back as more details come to hand on the Porsche RS Spyder street car.
