New plates supplier confirmed

publicisAustralian-based Publicis Communication, part of the worldwide Publicis Group, has been awarded the contract to market and sell personalised number plates in New Zealand – now branded KiwiPlates – from previous provider Personalised Plates.

Following a competitive tender process, the New Zealand Transport Agency appointed Publicis as its local provider over a five-year contract period, with two three-year rights of renewal.

Publicis is contracted to share its revenue with the agency.

kiwiplates-logo-2xKiwiPlates managing director Robert Kent points out that Publicis has been operating the Personalised Plates Queensland business for the past three years as well as managing the Queensland and Tasmanian personalised plates’ advertising accounts for eight years from 2001 to 2008.

Let’s hope it also has a “blast” as did Personalised Plates over a 28-year period.
