Peugeot adds another engine to local 308 line-up


Peugeot New Zealand has added a new1.6-litre turbocharged petrol Allure hatch and wagon model to the new 308 range. These new models are now available for sale at Peugeot dealerships nationwide.

The all-new 308 range now consists of three model variants in New Zealand: Access, Active and Allure.

The hatch is now available with a range of engines: a turbocharged petrol 96kW1.2-litre PureTech, a new 110kW turbocharged petrol 1.6-litre and turbocharged diesel BlueHDi 2-litre.

The station wagon is only available with the new petrol turbo charged 1.2-litre PureTech engine and turbo charged petrol 1.6-litre engine.

Launched in New Zealand in October 2014, the 308 has since been awarded AMI Insurance NZ Autocar Car of the Year 2014, adding to the growing collection of awards the car has already received, including the 2014 European Car of the Year.

The new Peugeot 308 range is now priced as follows (excluding on road costs):

  • PureTech 1.2-litre Access manual from $30,990
  • PureTech 1.2-litre Access auto from $32,990
  • PureTech 1.2-litre Active auto hatch from $34,990 and wagon from $36,990
  • 1.6-litre Allure auto hatch is priced from $38,990 and wagon $40,990
  • 2.0-litre BlueHDi Allure auto from $42,990
