Peugeot 308 takes out Autocar Car of the Year

The Peugeot 308 has claimed the AMI Insurance NZ Autocar of the year award.

The 308 beat out 8 different class winners, who were announced last month. Read about those HERE

Autocar editor Kyle Cassidy says the 308 scores well across all the awards criteria.

“Its design is one that meets your expectations and the styling isn’t too bland or Gallic to offend,” Cassidy says.

“The 308’s 1.2-litre triple really delivers on the grunt front without slurping too much gas, while the chassis delivers both a discerning ride comfort on the cruise and great agility when pressed, also remaining remarkably stable.”

The Volkswagen Golf claimed the award last year.
