Pajero gets tech upgrade

Pajero_interior_SDAThe current Mitsubishi Pajero is nearing a decade old – and reports indicate it will soldier on for some time to come – but it now sports some new, and very current, technology.

A 2016 upgrade for Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed introduces ‘Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA)’ – also released in Pajero Sport earlier this year.

SDA allows drivers to remain in full control of the wheel and their smartphones on a 7-inch, dash-mounted touch screen via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

“Mitsubishi SDA technology allows drivers access to the functionality available on their smart phones, while keeping both hands on the wheel and eyes on the road – enabling safer, more enriching journeys,” says Mitsubishi head of sales and marketing strategy Daniel Cook.

SDA is also equipped with a rearview system and FM/AM/DAB radio and can play contents stored in a USB or HDMI device. A voice control button is located on the steering wheel.
