Novitec Rosso boosts Ferrari California to 446kW

Aftermarket tuner Novitec Rosso has boosted the power and performance systems on the Ferrari California. From the factory the 2+2-seater’s 8-cylinder motor develops 338 kW and 485 Nm. While a previous programme took the car up to 368kW, the California now boasts 446kW and maximum torque of 603 Nm at 5,500rpm. The 0 – 100 km/h sprint takes just under 3.8 seconds and top speed is 325 km/h.

Performance enhancing upgrades include a mechanical supercharger, a custom intake manifold and larger injectors as well as a water-to-air intercooler. One of Novitec Rosso’s own stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with sport catalysts is installed and the ECU fully remapped.

Handling is improved by extensive suspension work including adjustable sport springs that can be lowered by 35 millimeters and a hydraulic lift system that can raise the front of the car by 40 millimeters to help negotiate speed bumps and steep driveways.

Styling tweaks include new rocker panels, a rear diffuser, rear spoiler lip and carbon fibre molding. Wheels are 21-inch in front and 22-inch at the rear, shod with 255/30 ZR 21 and 315/25 ZR 22 Pirelli tyres.

Interior upgrades are on offer through Novitec Rosso’s customisation programme.
