New Limited Edition Suzuki Swift XS With Bold Sporting Look

A new limited edition version of New Zealand’s favourite small car puts the accent on a sporting appearance.

With its distinctive body enhancements, the Suzuki Swift XS arrives as an additional model to the best-selling five-door Swift hatchback.

A black European inspired spoiler kit adds a real edge to the car’s handsome looks, and incorporates bold wheel arch and lower side skirts, rear upper spoiler and side protection door mouldings and a unique XS decal.

The larger diameter 17-inch HRS H-461 aluminium alloy wheels are finished in black with a liquid smoky silver background. These 12-spoke design wheels are shod with high performance Bridgestone MY02 205/45 R17 tyres.

A Bluetooth Sony audio system with external microphone is also included in the low volume model.

Available in

seven colours and fitted as standard with a four-stage automatic transmission, the new Swift XS is keenly priced at $24,500.

“Buyers are effectively receiving $4,000 worth of extra equipment at considerably less money,” said Tom Peck, General Manager of Marketing for Suzuki New Zealand. “The XS provides that extra individuality for those who would like their Swift to stand out as well as having a sharper edge to its handling.”

The XS is powered by the same, fuel efficient 1.4-litre twin overhead camshaft engine used in mainstream Swift GL, GLX and LTD models. This K14B engine incorporates variable valve technology and provides an excellent power to weight ratio, good fuel economy and low emissions.

Standard equipment includes electric windows front and rear, central door locking, remote-controlled door locks with hazard answer-back, delay cut-out for interior lighting, air conditioning and driver’s seat height adjustment.

Safety is a strongpoint, with seven airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), ABS with EBD braking and decoupling mechanism for the brake pedal.

Comprehensive safety equipment, the Suzuki Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) body and class-leading suspension helped earn the latest Swift the highest possible 5 Stars in the Euro-NCAP safety ratings.

The Swift has dominated the light car class in the local market, easily outselling its rivals, and is now one of the most popular cars on New Zealand roads.

Like all new Suzuki automobiles, the Swift XS comes as standard with a three-year/100,000 kilometer warranty, five-year roadside assistance and all on-road costs included in the retail price.
