MG takes on ‘dog fog’

Chinese-owned British brand MG is taking on one of a dog owners’ least-favourite things – dog fog.

MG’s new GS SUV has gone to extremes during the 1.2m kilometres of testing – literally.

From -30 in Sweden to a sweltering 46 degrees in Alice Springs – the testers have included a relatable-yet-weird new one – the wet dog test.

Simulating a waterlogged dog by soaking a good number of wet towels in the new SUV, they waited for the dreaded dog fog to fill the car and then measured how quickly the car’s demister could clear the car.

Fortunately for the testers, the car still exhibited the ‘new car smell’ well all know and love. That can’t be promised for real world testing in the new GS.
