Mercedes Benz partners with NZ Fashion Week for second year

11417236_1470428453270878_302725150_nMercedes-Benz New Zealand is has signed up again again as an Elite Partner of New Zealand Fashion Week, and will recognise Kate Sylvester as the 2015 ‘Mercedes-Benz Presents’ designer.

The ‘Mercedes-Benz Presents’ accolade is a global initiative which recognises designers who ‘demonstrate dedication to the use of high quality materials, innovative design and unique style’.

Kate Sylvester joins recipients including designers such as Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Badgely Mischka and Dame Trelise Cooper.

“It is such an honour to collaborate with an iconic, inspirational brand, that personally, I admire so much,” says Sylvester.

“I have such respect for the work Mercedes-Benz does to support fashion events globally, and I am thrilled to be able work with them here in our home market.”

The partnership will include an exclusive runway show in conjunction with Mercedes-Benz, the debut evening show at 2015 New Zealand Fashion Week.

Mercedes-Benz will provide a fleet of official event vehicles to transport VIP guests.

Mercedes-Benz general manager Ben Giffen says they were welcome to join Sylvester to the brand.

“Kate is unquestionably one of New Zealand’s most renowned and established designers, whose commitment to style and timeless, cutting-edge design perfectly complements our own philosophies here at Mercedes-Benz.”
