Man arrested trying to sell boss’ car

handcuffsMost would be terrified of getting a parking ticket or speed camera fine in the boss’ car.

But a Christchurch man tried to sell his employer’s car yesterday – and was caught only because a switched on Greymouth car dealer became suspicious.

An ownership check revealed the deal wasn’t so sweet as the car belonged to the man’s boss – so the dealer called the police.

A 33-year-old man was charged with unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and bailed back to Christchurch.
