Only two limited edition HSV models bound for NZ

Only two limited edition HSV models bound for NZ

Australian performance specialist HSV has released details of a new limited edition model based off the Senator Signature but only two will be available to New Zealand buyers.

It is the first limited edition model based on the Senator to be launched to market since the last one in 2008 and it will be offered in four exterior colours – heron, phantom, prussian steel and nitrate.

The Senator SV build will be restricted to 50 vehicles for Australia and just two vehicles for New Zealand, with their production to occur in February.

The Senator SV limited edition builds on a list of standard equipment that includes a 340kW, LS3 V8 engine, AP Racing forged 4- piston brake calipers, HSV performance seats in Onyx leather trim, Magnetic ride control suspension and a raft of technologies like Enhanced driver interface (EDI) and a Driver preference dial.

The limited edition content starts with all-new, 20” SV Rapier forged alloy wheel, complete with its dark stainless finish. This light-weight, 5-spoke alloy further exposes the brake discs and forged calipers.

Complementing the new wheel are a range of “pitch black” exterior styling accents. The grille surround, fender vents, mirror scalps, luxury lip spoiler and door surrounds all receive the finish as does the vehicle’s badging.

Quad exhaust outlets, with shadow-chrome tips, complete the make-over.

The vehicle’s exclusivity is enhanced through the branded “Senator SV” sill plates, an I.D. plate and EDI start-up screen, while each vehicle will be individually numbered.

The Senator SV will be available with a 6L80E 6-speed automatic with Active Select and Paddle-shifters.

At $NZ105,990, recommended retail pricing for the limited edition Senator SV remains unchanged from that of the Senator Signature with the 6-speed automatic transmission.
