Lexus announces exclusive LFA Nurburgring package

The Lexus LFA supercar was always going to be rare with a production run of just 500 units, but it’s set to get even more exclusive with a special edition Nurburgring Package. Lexus will only offer 50 examples of the LFA Nurburgring Package to commemorate the car’s participation in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. For car spotters the special edition will differ from the standard model by a new front splitter, dive planes and a fixed rear wing just like the race car.

Mechanical changes will include a “sport tuned” suspension, and it will also be marginally faster thanks to an extra 10 horsepower that has been extracted out of the 4.8-litre V10 bringing total output to 562 hp. The gear changes have also been sped up by 50 milliseconds, bringing the total shift time to just 150 ms.

Colours on offer include kiwi favourite ‘McLaren orange’ and whitest white and gloss black. If you have even more cash to burn you can opt for the matte black finish which is an extra $20,000 USD, on top of the $70,000 USD package price and of course, the $375,000 USD price for the LFA car itself. Better smash the piggy bank.
