Jag rolls out F-Pace at Fieldays

Jaguar says its dealers are being hammered with pre-launch orders and sales enquiries for its first-ever SUV.

The F-Pace officially appears on showroom floors next month, but the first of the off-road Jags to land in New Zealand will be on show at Fieldays this week.

“The F-Pace is one of the most highly anticipated models the brand has seen and we anticipate the first edition models will sell quickly,” said Steve Kechington, general manager for Jaguar Land Rover.

JaguarFPace4Kechington says the excitement around the model – touted, like many before it, as having the performance of a sportscar packed into the body of an SUV – has seen 15% of first order stock snapped up already.

“This is an exciting opportunity not just for Jaguar enthusiasts throughout the country, but anyone that is looking for sports car performance combined with SUV practicality,” said Kenchington.

Pre-launch enquiries are a massive 275% higher than any previous model – and started immediately following the car’s announcement at Frankfurt Motor Show last year.

JaguarFPace3Renowned Jaguar design director Ian Callum calls it an all-weather, all-surface vehicle “life-proofed for five people and their belongings.”

“By remaining true to our design principles the all-new F-Pace is immediately recognisable as a Jaguar,” said Callum. “It offers all of the interior space you would expect – and more – but because of our disciplined approach to surfaces, proportions, and purity of line, we have designed what I consider to be the most balanced, most attractive vehicle in its class.”

F-Pace pricing starts at $95,000, with the special First Edition models already sold out at $165,000.
