Used import sales 50% up in 24 months

DSC_0056Used imported cars once again maintained their upward trend last month.

Sales of 10,760 units last month was the second highest for the-year-so-far (mirroring the same trend in June 2013) and a staggering 37% ahead of June 2013.

For the year to date sales of 60,356 are 32% ahead of the 45,640 used imported cars sold in the same corresponding period in 2013.

Incidentally – last years year to date figure of 45,640 was 21% ahead of the previous period in 2012, so in rough terms the June year to date figure of used imported cars has increased by 50% in two years.

Equally numbers of used imported commercial vehicles also continued to improve year on year, on year, although the increase in percentage has not been quite so radical!

June 2014 saw 584 units sold, an increase of 26% on the 462 units sold in June 2013, which in itself was a 66% increase on the 277 units sold in June 2012.

The total market – passenger and commercial – was up 36% from 8324 to 11,344 units.
