Harley-Davidson 2015 models roll into Kiwi dealerships

Harley-Davidson says it is staying hard on the throttle with the introduction of its 2015 model line-up to New Zealand dealerships.

The company says it is expanding its diverse offering of motorcycles and now offers riders more ways than ever before to lead their own pack to the open road.

“The broad 2015 Harley-Davidson model line-up demonstrates our commitment to delivering products to our customers through world-class, customer-led product design,” says Harley-Davidson Motor Company president and ceo Matt Levatich.

Levatich says that customer-led innovations for the 2015 Harley-Davidson model line up include:

Road Glide Special

The original alternative bagger is back in a special fully-loaded form with a new vented, frame-mounted fairing that minimises head buffeting, Dual Reflector Daymaker LED headlamps, premium Boom!Box infotainment, upgraded suspension, Reflex linked braking with ABS and a new handlebar with reduced reach and a new wrist angle for improved ergonomics.

New Softail braking system

An all-new braking system for Softail models delivers improved modulation and responsiveness and decreases hand lever effort by 40 per cent. Anti-lock Braking System is now standard on all Softail models. New front brake components include a rigid four-piston fixed front brake calliper, 34 and 32mm pistons coated to minimise initial displacement, brake pads with high-output friction material, a new master cylinder with a higher mechanical ratio, and a new 300mm front brake rotor. The calliper and master cylinder have been restyled to enhance the looks of each model.

CVO Street Glide

Boasting a new Boom Audio system backed by 600 watts of power streaming through 12 speakers in four locations, this limited-production bagger is a rolling concert venue that delivers volume and outstanding sonic quality.

CVO Road Glide Ultra

This premium touring motorcycle offers world-class aerodynamics, luxury touring essentials and the performance of a Screamin’ Eagle Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 110 engine.

Across its 2015 product line, Harley-Davidson offers eight new paint colours, including new Custom colours Black Magic and Radioactive Green, and new Hard Candy Custom metal flake colours Cancun Blue Flake and Quicksilver Flake, for a total of 25 different paint schemes.

The new 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycles and accessories start to roll into New Zealand Harley-Davidson dealerships from October 1.
