GT Radial offering new touring tyre

Champiro GT Radial Tyre

A new performance touring tyre from GT Radial that offers increased fuel efficiency enhancements, will become available to NZ motorists early next year.

Set for introduction in January, the Champiro 228 is the latest addition to a range of new tyres from GT Radial and follows on the heels of the recently released Champiro HPY, an high performance tyre speed rated to 300km/h.

“The Champiro 228 is especially well suited to New Zealand driving conditions as it provides extraordinary grip in wet and dry conditions,” said Tyres4U National Sales Manager for passenger tyres, Craig Wylde.

“Furthermore, it is manufactured with a Nanotek silica compound which delivers low rolling resistance for enhanced fuel economy, making it an ideal companion for motorists who enjoy driving and getting the most out of their tyres.”

The all-new Champiro 228 is designed for low noise and a comfortable ride and is environmentally considerate, as non-aromatic oils are used in the manufacturing process.

Four wide circumferential grooves provide efficient water ejection and wet-weather performance, while extended shoulder grooves offer excellent cornering.

“A nice feature of the new tyre is the incorporation of the ‘Champiro 228’ name into the centre rib,” said Mr Wylde.

As with all GT Radial car, 4WD and light-truck tyres, the Champiro 228 is available with the ‘DRIVE 5IVE’ a free tyre replacement guarantee.
