Free Impreza service plan for a limited time

Subaru Impreza S Edition SmallFor the 2015 model year update the sole Impreza S-Edition model has an increased level of specification, while its recommended retail price has dropped by $2000.

The price has been revised down from $31,990 to $29,990 and if a customer buys a Impreza S-Edition before September 30, they will also receive a 3-year service plan available through the national dealer network says Subaru of New Zealand.

Subaru of New Zealand says the symmetrical all-wheel-drive 2-litre Impreza S-Edition is now price positioned to challenge small front wheel drive European models.

For 2015 the Impreza S-Edition features a series of upgrades, including new 16” alloy wheels, a new front bumper and many interior technological updates, such as, an all-new infotainment system.

It comes standard with a reversing camera, an auto stop-start system, Subaru Lineartronic transmission with manual mode and a 5-star ANCAP safety rating.

Being the smallest member of the Subaru family does have its advantages, as the Impreza S-Edition can claim a meagre 6.8l/100km fuel consumption on combined cycle says the manufacturer.

It’s extra urban consumption drops to 5.6l/100km according to Subaru.

The Impreza’s vehicle dynamics control (VDC) system mean this hatch is still every bit as capable of climbing up to the ski field as the larger Subaru SUVs.

The 60/40 split fold seats ensure there is flexibility for luggage, including skis and snowboards, in the back, despite it being the junior of the Subaru range.

“Although Impreza is our smallest vehicle, its internal dimensions are similar to a 1990’s Legacy model,” says Subaru of New Zealand managing director Wallis Dumper

“At $29,990 the Impreza is now positioned better price-wise than a front wheel drive, smaller-engined Euro car,” says Dumper.
