Fornasari has been around since before the Cayenne, but its previous efforts (the RR450 and RR600) had lunatic styling and price tag not attainable to most. But now this blend of Italian craftsmanship and American brute force has built something a tad less like a toy car in real scale. It’s the RR99 and it packs a six-litre GM V8 in the front end producing 610hp, and driving through all four wheels.

This five-door 1850kg SUV has 50/50 weight distribution and Fornasari claims it will get to 100kph in just 3.8 seconds, and tops out at 280kph. With a 6-speed Borg Warner transmission and some beefy (optional) Brembo brakes, it should handle and stop as well as it goes.
