CRV receives 2015 update

Honda has facelifted its CRV SUV for 2015 – importantly making intelligent safety technology standard across the range.

Honda’s laneWatch camera and emergency stop signal are now standard, as well as LED daytime running lights.

The model range now includes the CRV 2WD Sport with a 2L SOHC i-VTEC Engine and the CRV 4WD Sport and Sport NT, both with a 2.4L DOHC i-VTEC Engine. A Sport+ exterior kit is also available.

The CRV 4WD Sport NT also has additional advanced active safety technologies including the lane departure warning system, lane keep assist, collision mitigation braking system and adaptive cruise control.

To further improve the ride and handling characteristics, upgrades have been made to the chassis. These include suspension tuning refinements, a modified steering ratio, larger wheel width and improved brakes.

To absorb sound and insulate the cabin further, the coverage and thickness of sound-absorbing material has increased, including full-coverage of sound insulating carpet. Door sealing has also improved to reduce noise intrusion. Honda claims changes have resulted in a noticeable improvement in cruising quietness.

Pricing begins at $46,900 for the 2WD Sport, ranging to $54,900 for the Sport NT. The CRV, like all Hondas, comes with a 5-year warranty and roadside assistance package.
