Corolla remains on top


September saw the perennial favourite Toyota model – Corolla – remain unchallenged for supremacy, but the Suzuki Swift has been kicked out of the top three passenger vehicles thanks to the arrival of another new Toyota passenger model.

Corolla was once again the top selling passenger model with 8% market share (629 units), followed by the Toyota Yaris on 4% (373 units) and the Holden Commodore on 3% (277 units).

The Corolla was also the top selling new vehicle model in September with 629 new registrations, followed by the Ford Ranger with 595, and the Toyota Hilux in 3rd with 526 registrations.

toppassengercarregToyota remains the passenger car market leader for the month of September with 19% share (1582 units), with Holden second on 12% (1044 units) and Mazda third with 8% (671 units).
