Completely revised Ford line-up in dealers by 2017

The freshened Territory will arrive at New Zealand dealers in early 2015 with a more robust and refined design says the Ford Motor Company.

The arrival of the Falcon and Territory spearheads a product expansion in 2015 with the arrival of the refreshed Focus lineup, Focus ST update, all-new Mondeo, Mustang and the Ford Everest SUV, which is eagerly awaited by the dealer network.

By 2017 Ford in New Zealand will have refreshed, or completely updated, its entire vehicle lineup.

Ford has released images of Territory revealing an exterior design with a bold grille and headlight execution that brings it into harmony with the rest of the Ford product portfolio. The work was carried out by the Melbourne-based Ford design team.

Ford exterior design manager Nima Nourian says the new Territory had a lot to live up to.

“We wanted to deliver a new level of visual appeal with the 2014 Territory,” he says.

“You won’t mistake it for anything else but a Territory,” he says. “Visually the surfacing is more architectural and achieves a very cohesive and sophisticated look.”

Ford Australia President and CEO, Bob Graziano, says the Ford Territory set the benchmark for family-friendly SUVs when it was launched.

“The new-look Territory is set to carry this on,” he says. “Our customers love the comfort, space and fuel efficiency and now the refreshed design will provide another compelling reason to buy.”

Ford Territory customers will be able to choose from a six-cylinder petrol engine as well as the V6 TDCi engine.

Pricing, features and specifications of the new Falcon and Territory range will be revealed closer to launch. The Falcon range and ute, and Ford Territory go on sale early in 2015.

Graziano says the arrival of the new Falcon and Territory will be followed next year by the new Ford Mustang, all-new Mondeo and Everest SUV.
