A variety of collectable contemporary modern cars, as well as classic, and vintage vehicles will be up for bidding at Turners Classic Car auction Sunday May 4 from 12pm.
There will be more than 13 vehicles from the car collection of the late Roger Taylor, including a 2007 40th anniversary BFII series FPV Falcon GT sedan, one of 200 made, which Taylor bought for his wife as a 40th wedding anniversary gift, but which was never driven by her.
Turners estimate bidding on the GT to range from $69,500 to $70,500.
Other contemporary cars include a 2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo ($57,000 to $59,000), a 1993 Jaguar XJ6 Sport sedan ($3,500 to $5,500), a 1998 Mercedes-Benz 300E coupe ($3,000 to $6,000), and a 2005 Chrysler 300C ($26,400 to $27,400).
A 1969 Rolls-Royce Phantom is estimated to bring in $60,000 to $80,000 in bidding according to Turners, while a far rarer USA-built 1930 Marmon Roosevelt coupe, from the Taylor collection, is expected to race off the block for more than $130,000.
