Citroen Survolt concept racer receives ‘art car’ treatment

The sharp-edged Citroen Survolt concept wasn’t exactly a wall flower in standard form but that hasn’t stopped the French automaker pulling a BMW and turning one into a colourful art car.

It may look like a kid has taken to it with highlighter pens but this Survolt is the latest in high art and is being displayed at Citroens C42 flagship showroom on Champs-Elysees in Paris.

The Survolt art car is the work of Francoise Nielly. A Marseille- born artist who has taken Citroen’s all-electric Survolt concept racer and adorned it with the psychedelic, fluorescent paint scheme. According to the French carmaker, the contemporary artist was actually one of the sources of inspiration for the styling of the original Survolt.

If you are too short on air points to go and see it for yourself then check out the gallery below and play art critic for a few moments.
