Caterham to branch out with all-new model

What type of automotive business is Caterham really? Some would call it a automaker others just another replica builder. It’s hard to know but the company only currently produces one model which is a continuation of the original Lotus Seven with some modern touches. But now Caterham is showing signs of breaking new ground and has announced to the motoring world that it will unveil an entirely new model in January.

No real details on this new model have been announced yet, but Caterham says its new car will mark “the beginning of a new dawn for the Company, but also one that remains true to the lightweight, minimalist DNA of the legendary Seven.” It’s definitely an interesting announcement and one that will get track-focused sports car fans excited.

The new model is expected to make use a new in-house engine and will be built alongside the Seven (pictured) and debut at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham, England on January 13, so check back for details in the new year.
