BMW releases X1 spec and prices ahead of launch

image006BMW Group New Zealand has released pricing and specification information on its new X1 SUV more than three weeks ahead of the official launch date at the end of October.

The distributor says that two diesel and two petrol models will be available in New Zealand.

Pricing for the new model starts from $65,500 for the BMW X1 sDrive18d, and other models available include sDrive20i, xDrive20d and xDrive25i M Sport.

“The feedback regarding the appearance, drivability and all round improvements have resulted in pent-up demand and an anticipated arrival of the new BMW X1,” says BMW New Zealand MD, Florian Renndorfer.

“The significantly restyled new model is very evidently a BMW SUV as it displays strong brand-centric DNA in its appearance,” he says.

“The front of the car exhibits a muscular and purposeful progressive stance that ties it directly to the styling first revealed in the BMW X5 F15 model,” say Renndorfer.

“The interior of the new BMW X1 offers more space for passengers and luggage, and an array of comfort, safety and infotainment features,” he says.

The new X1 offers ConnectedDrive driver assistance features including Concierge Service and Intelligent Emergency Call.

All models in the X1 range come standard with three-years scheduled servicing, a five-year warranty and five-year roadside assistance.
