BMW M3 Sedan may be in its final generation

If your a BMW 3-Series fan there’s been a lot to be happy about recently. The M3 GTS looks fantastic and the new 335is is an awesome machine. It’s not all good news though as recent reports are indicating that BMW may be looking to discontinue the four-door M3 sedan.

The current model M3 sedan will almost certainly continue through to the end of its current lifecycle, but it seems that the next-gen M3 will be offered in two-door (coupe and convertible) forms only. The reason is sluggish sales for the V8 super-sedan, which was at one point highly demanded in the American market in its previous generation but never really lived up to its potential.

So if you’ve been wanting an M3 sedan but were patiently waiting to see what the next model would bring, now may be the time to buy.
