Messing with the styling of a Italian supercar is always a risky game to play. But tuning firm Anderson Germany was undaunted when it worked over a Ferrari for its latest creation the Ferrari 458 Italia Carbon Edition special.
Visually the reworked 458 cuts a striking figure with some severe carbon fibre treatment that includes the front splitter, front bumper flaps, wide side skirts, a discrete rear lip spoiler, engine air outlets, rear side window air intake grilles and front bumper ventilation grille. But replacing all those parts with carbon fibre pieces still wasn’t enough so the lightweight material has also been used on the roof, bonnet, door handles and mirrors.
Performance from the Ferrari’s V8 engine has been tweaked to 464kw by reprogrammed software and a replacement exhaust system. Other upgrades include a lowered suspension kit and stealthy 21-inch alloy wheels with low-profile performance tyres.
