Alonso takes delivery of Maserati GranCabrio

Following his win for Ferrari in the opening round of the 2010 Formula One World Championship in Bahrain, two-time World Champion, Fernando Alonso, has taken delivery of Maserati’s latest model a Maserati GranCabrio.

From the possible nine million trim and colour combinations available in the Maserati range, the Spanish Formula One driver has chosen a dark shade known as Grigio Granito for the exterior colour in combination with two-tone upholstery of Pearl Beige and Bordeaux leather for the interior and a matching soft top in the same shade of Bordeaux red.

The GranCabrio is the first ever four-seater convertible model for Maserati. It was designed by famous Italian coach-builder Pininfarina and comes with a 4.7 litre V8 boasting 328 kW coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Maserati has already taken more than 25 orders for the GranCabrio from prospective Australian and New Zealand owners, which means that half of these exclusive open top cars allocated to Australia and New Zealand in 2010 are already taken.
