All-new BMW X4 arrives in dealerships

P90143827_lowResThe all-new BMW X4, a brand new sport activity coupe following in the footsteps of the X6, is now officially on sale in New Zealand – and BMW dealers around the country are reporting significant interest in it.

“The predecessor to the X4, the larger X6, was the first sport activity coupe in the world and has enjoyed considerable sales success with more than 250,000 units sold globally since launch in 2008,” says BMW Group New Zealand managing director Nina Englert.

“We have similar high hopes for the X4 as it too offers benefits in terms of functionality, versatility – and of course performance.”

Styling is a high point of the new BMW X4. The distinctive front face of the new model guarantees it is immediately recognisable as a member of the BMW X family: Light bands around the outer edges of the headlights are slightly flattened at the top and back and make for a broad appearance.

In profile, the low Coupe-style roofline extending into the rear is a distinctive feature which also clearly sets the BMW X4 apart.

Every BMW X4 comes equipped with 40:20:40 split fold rear seats which allows for a flexible luggage compartment capacity of between 500 and 1,400 litres.
The BMW X4 will be available with a choice of two BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engines, both fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission featuring gear shift paddles on the steering wheel. Engine options are a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine or a 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line diesel engine.

Standard features that highlight the dynamic credentials of the BMW X4 include performance control and variable sports steering, both of which combine to enable a higher level of dynamic cornering and handling with maximum grip, excellent directional stability and a high degree of steering precision as well as comfort when parking.

The X4 comes with a five year warranty and road side assistance as standard, as well as three year scheduled servicing.
