9ff brings Speedster-style Porsche to Essen

9ff Speed9 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet rq

9ff thinks that the standard Porsche 997 Turbo cabriolet is a smidgen slow and girlie. So, it boosted the 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six from 473hp to a mammoth 650hp by tweaking the ECU and swapping the exhaust, catalytic converter and air filter. Upgraded brakes are a no brainer, as are adjustable stabilisers front and rear with double springs at each corner.

The rear seats have been ditched (they’re only good for storing map books and amputees anyway), and a new body kit with some tasty air dams and diffusers has been applied. There’s no indication from 9ff what this will do to the performance, but we would expect that it will more than match the expected astronomical price.
