
BMW’s striking Vision EfficientDynamics car, is coming to New Zealand for a special one-off appearance and will be put on display at the Auckland Museum from Friday July 15 to Sunday July 17.
The high-tech machine will be part of next week’s Australian Motor Show and will pop in to NZ after, so
it’s a great chance to see a groundbreaking concept car for free.
“The BMW VisionED represents the future of BMW mobility and unlike other concept cars, which often never see the light of day, the BMW VisionED is confirmed to go into production in 2013 and will be known as the BMW i8,” said the Managing Director of BMW Group New Zealand, Mark Gilbert.

The Evoque will be available with a choice of three engines, two body styles, three design themes and a range of customization options and accessories.
Earlier this week Gordon Murray Design pulled the covers off its very compact city car, named the T.27. The project for this micro machine was seen from concept to prototype in just 17 months. What’s even more impressive is that time frame included the design of a new electric powertain by Zytek Automotive Ltd. The project cost an estimated £9 million, with half of the funding coming from the UK government-backed Technology Strategy Board.

With a design brief of the “perfect weekend get-away” the bespoke Phantom has some suitably lavish features including a one-of-a-kind Asprey jewellery box which is built into the glove compartment. Before the top gets dropped this removable jewellery box acts as a quick stash spot loose jewelery like cufflinks and earrings. Other unique detailing on the Roller include teak decking with mother-of-pearl inlays, embroidered R-R logos in headrests, engraved tread plates, special white instrument dials, rotary controllers and a clock finished in mother-of-pearl.


Perhaps the most famous of these superstar movie vehicles is the yellow Chevrolet Camaro that goes by the name stage name Bumblebee. As in the previous movies this banana-and-black Autobot is fashioned in a form that will be repeated as a special edition Camaro available to fans.
